This Privacy Policy explains what information myMantle (“we,” “us”) collects when you use the Service, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Account information: email address, password (stored securely and never visible to us in plain text — handled by our authentication provider), and username. At signup, we ask for your birth month and year to confirm you meet the minimum age requirement — this is checked entirely in your browser and is never sent to or stored on our servers.
Profile information you choose to add: bio, location, social media links, and your avatar photo.
Collection content: photos and details of the items you add (games, movies, books, trading cards) — titles, descriptions, platform/director/author/genre fields, cover and back photos, and how you’ve organized them into cabinets and binders.
Communications: if you contact support@mymantle.net or file a content report, we retain that correspondence and the details of the report, including your account and the account or item involved.
IP address: We record IP addresses in two contexts: (1) to enforce rate limits that prevent abuse (for example, limiting sign-in attempts and social actions to reasonable rates), and (2) as part of a coarse-grained, salted hash used in our admin tools to help identify abuse patterns — we do not store or display your raw IP address to anyone in the ordinary course of using the Service, but a record of it is created for security review (e.g. failed sign-in attempts).
Approximate location: When you visit myMantle, our hosting provider supplies a coarse, city-level approximate location derived from network routing (not GPS or precise device location). We use this in aggregate to power an internal visitor-statistics view in our admin tools. This is not shared with other users and is not used to track your movements.
Device and browser information: basic technical information such as your browser’s user-agent string may be logged alongside security-relevant events like sign-in attempts.
Local storage: myMantle stores a small amount of information directly in your browser (not as tracking cookies, and not shared with us as a file) to keep you signed in between visits and to remember a couple of your own device-level preferences (like whether you’ve opted in to an optional search feature). This data stays on your device and isn’t sold or shared with advertisers — myMantle does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Every image and text field you submit is sent to an automated content-moderation service (a third-party AI moderation API) before it’s saved, to screen for content that violates our Terms of Service. This happens for every user, automatically, as part of normal use of the Service — it is not optional and does not require a separate action from you. We do not manually review content unless it’s flagged by this automated system or reported by another user.

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate myMantle. We don’t publish the specific names of our infrastructure vendors here, but we disclose the categories of providers we use and what each receives, so you understand how your information is handled.
Each of these providers is contractually limited to using your information only to provide the service we’ve engaged them for. We’re happy to share the specific providers we use if you have a legitimate reason to ask (for example, if you’re evaluating myMantle for your own security or compliance review) — contact support@mymantle.net.
We do not share your information with any other third party except as required by law, to protect the rights and safety of myMantle or its users, or with your explicit consent.
If you’re located somewhere with specific statutory privacy rights (for example, access, correction, deletion, or portability rights under applicable law), contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request appropriately for a project of our size.
myMantle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we’ve collected information from a child under 13, we’ll delete it.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including automated abuse detection, rate limiting, and access controls that restrict sensitive account fields (like administrative permissions) from being modified by anyone other than our team through secure, non-public tooling. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security of your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where practical, notify active users. Continuing to use myMantle after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
